Overview
We are seeking an enthusiastic and friendly Host/Host to join our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, setting the tone for their dining experience. You will be responsible for greeting guests, managing reservations, and ensuring a smooth flow of service in our restaurant. Your exceptional customer service skills will help create a welcoming atmosphere that encourages guests to return.

Duties

• Greet and welcome guests as they arrive at the restaurant.
• Manage reservations and seating arrangements efficiently to optimize table turnover.
• Provide menus and inform guests about daily specials and promotions.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host/host station.
• Coordinate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure timely service.
• Handle guest inquiries and complaints with professionalism and courtesy.
• Assist in managing waitlists during peak hours, ensuring guests are informed of wait times.
• Utilize POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for reservation management when necessary.
• Uphold high standards of guest relations and hospitality throughout the dining experience.

Experience

• Previous Host/Host or food service experience is preferred.
• Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction.
• Experience in a restaurant or hotel environment is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with strong phone etiquette.
• Familiarity with POS systems (Aloha POS, Micros POS) is advantageous but not required.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
