Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and organized Host/Hostess to join our team in providing exceptional guest experiences. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for guests, responsible for greeting them warmly, managing reservations, and ensuring a smooth flow of service in our restaurant. This role is crucial in creating a welcoming atmosphere and maintaining high standards of guest relations.

Duties

• Greet guests upon arrival with a warm and friendly demeanor.
• Manage the seating chart to optimize table turnover while maintaining guest comfort.
• Take reservations over the phone, online or in person while ensuring accurate communication with the serving staff regarding guest preferences.
• Assist in managing waitlists during busy periods and provide timely updates to guests.
• Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and servers to ensure seamless service.
• Provide information about menu items, specials, and restaurant policies to guests.
• Handle guest inquiries and resolve any issues promptly to enhance customer satisfaction.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front-of-house area.
• Handle all process of take-out orders
• Maintain cleanliness of the menus
• Manage transactions for merchandise if needed

Experience

• Previous experience in food service or hospitality is preferred.
• Familiarity with Toast POS or similar point-of-sale systems is a plus.
• Strong customer service skills with an emphasis on guest relations.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• A background restaurant settings is advantageous but not required.
