Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and personable Host to be the welcoming face of our establishment. As a Host, you will create a warm and inviting atmosphere for guests from the moment they arrive, ensuring their experience begins on a positive note. Your enthusiasm, excellent communication skills, and attention to detail will set the tone for a memorable visit. This role offers an exciting opportunity to engage with diverse guests, coordinate seating arrangements, and support our team in delivering exceptional hospitality service.

Responsibilities

  • Greet guests promptly with a friendly and enthusiastic attitude, making them feel valued and comfortable from the moment they walk in.
  • Manage reservations and seating arrangements efficiently using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS to optimize flow and minimize wait times.
  • Answer incoming phone calls professionally, providing information about the restaurant, wait times, and reservation details while maintaining excellent phone etiquette.
  • Coordinate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth seating transitions and timely service.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host station, lobby area, and waiting zones to uphold a welcoming environment.
  • Assist with guest inquiries, special requests, and accommodate seating preferences whenever possible to enhance guest satisfaction.
  • Support guest relations by addressing concerns promptly and courteously, ensuring every visitor feels appreciated and cared for.

Requirements

  • Previous host/hostess experience or food service background preferred; strong customer service skills are essential.
  • Experience working in restaurants or hospitality environments is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication skills with a friendly demeanor; able to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; hotel experience is a plus.
  • Knowledge of guest services, serving protocols, and hospitality standards to deliver exceptional guest experiences.
  • Ability to manage phone inquiries professionally while demonstrating strong phone etiquette.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail; able to work well under pressure during busy periods.
