Position Summary
The Host/Hostess is the first point of contact for members and guests. This role sets the tone for the dining experience by providing a warm welcome, managing seating and reservations, and supporting smooth restaurant flow. The Host/Hostess works closely with the Front of House team to ensure an organized, efficient, and enjoyable member experience.
Key Responsibilities
Member Experience

Greet members and guests by name whenever possible (Mr., Ms., Miss, etc.)

Escort guests to tables and present menus and daily features

Answer phones and assist with questions, reservations, and to-go orders
Seating & Coordination

Manage reservations and waitlists using Club Essential POS and Host Me

Communicate seating updates with servers and bartenders
-
Monitor dining room flow and assist with pacing
Setup & Support

Maintain a clean and organized host stand and entry area
-
Stock menus, children’s menus, and supplies
-
Polish/roll silverware as needed
-
Assist with buffet and event setup/breakdown

Complete side work at the end of each shift
Teamwork & Service Standards

Attend pre-shift lineups

Follow food safety and sanitation standards

Support teammates and jump in where needed

Provide prompt, courteous service to all members and guests

Report issues or member concerns to management

Physical & Work Requirements

Stand and walk for extended periods

Lift up to 25 lbs occasionally

Work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions

Work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed

Work safely around hot surfaces, wet floors, and typical restaurant equipment
