About Joud Coffee Joud Coffee is a homegrown specialty coffee brand in Abu Dhabi, known for warm hospitality, premium quality, and a team that takes ownership. We’re launching new café formats and raising the bar on the guest experience—especially around breakfast, bakery, and table service.

The Role As a Host/Hostess, you are the first impression of Joud. You’ll welcome guests, manage the door, control the flow of seating and reservations, and set the tone for a premium-but-warm experience. You’ll work closely with the floor team to keep service smooth, fast, and organized—especially during peak breakfast hours.

What You’ll Do

• Welcome every guest with confidence, warmth, and professionalism
• Manage walk-ins, reservations, and waitlists (clear communication, calm under pressure)
• Seat guests strategically to balance sections and avoid bottlenecks
• Coordinate with the service team to ensure tables are cleaned, reset, and ready
• Keep the entrance, host stand, and waiting area to brand standard (tidy, premium, “camera-ready”)
• Handle guest questions, special requests, and feedback with empathy and urgency
• Support service flow when needed (menus, water, small guest touchpoints)
• Follow daily checklists and shift handover notes to keep standards consistent
  
  

What We’re Looking For

• Minimum 2 years experience as a Host/Hostess (restaurant, café, hotel, or high-volume venue)
• Strong communication skills and confidence speaking to guests
• Fluent English; Arabic is a plus
• Organized, fast learner, comfortable with reservation/waitlist systems
• Calm under pressure during busy breakfast and weekend peaks
• Professional grooming and a genuine hospitality mindset
• Team player with strong ownership and attention to detail

Location: Abu Dhabi or Dubai UAE

Schedule: Rotational shifts (including weekends and peak hours)
