Job Purpose:
The Hostel Warden is responsible for the overall care, discipline, grooming, and well-being of students residing at the hostel, ensuring a safe, healthy, and supportive environment 24/7.
Key Responsibilities:
- Resident Supervision: Stay on-campus at NJV SMB for 24 hours to oversee students’ daily routines and ensure their safety.
- Student Well-being: Monitor physical, emotional, and social well-being of students and provide guidance as needed.
- Discipline Management: Enforce hostel rules, maintain order, and address behavioral issues promptly.
- Grooming & Personal Care: Supervise students’ grooming, hygiene, and overall personal development.
- Academic Support: Coordinate with teachers to support students’ academic progress and study routines.
- Health & Safety: Ensure cleanliness, hygiene, and safety standards in hostel premises; handle emergencies appropriately.
- Communication with Parents: Regularly update parents about students’ progress, behavior, and well-being.
- Event Coordination: Organize and supervise hostel activities, workshops, and recreational programs.
- Record Keeping: Maintain attendance, daily logs, and incident reports for hostel management.
- Professional Conduct: Maintain confidentiality, professionalism, and positive role-model behavior at all times.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience in child care, education, or hostel management.
- Experience in student supervision or residential care preferred.
- Strong communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage emergencies and maintain discipline effectively.
