Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival, providing a friendly and professional first impression
• Manage reservations efficiently using POS systems such as Toast POS, and coordinate seating arrangements to optimize flow
• Answer guest inquiries via phone with courteous phone etiquette, providing accurate information about wait times and restaurant offerings
• Maintain a clean and organized host stand, ensuring all seating charts and reservation logs are up-to-date
• Assist servers and kitchen staff by communicating guest needs promptly and accurately
• Handle guest concerns with professionalism, demonstrating excellent guest relations and hospitality skills
• Support overall restaurant operations by maintaining a positive attitude and fostering a welcoming environment for all guests

Experience

• Prior experience as a host or hostess in food service or restaurant settings is preferred but not required; we value enthusiasm and a customer-focused mindset
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential for engaging with guests and team members effectively
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Toast POS enhances efficiency in managing reservations and guest information
• Experience in hotel or guest services roles is advantageous, demonstrating your ability to provide exceptional hospitality experiences
• Knowledge of serving protocols, hotel operations, or hospitality industry standards is a plus
• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining professionalism in a fast-paced environment

Pay: $15.00 - $25.50 per hour
