Overview

The Host is the first point of contact for guests and sets the tone for the dining experience. This role requires a warm, welcoming personality, strong communication skills, and the ability to stay organized in a fast‑paced environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Greet guests promptly with a friendly, professional attitude


  • Manage reservations and waitlists using the restaurant’s seating system


  • Escort guests to their tables and provide menus


  • Communicate wait times accurately and consistently


  • Coordinate with servers and management to ensure smooth table turnover


  • Answer phone calls regarding reservations, hours, and general inquiries


  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand and entrance area


  • Assist with to‑go orders or other front‑of‑house tasks as needed



Qualifications

  • Strong customer service and communication skills


  • Ability to multitask and stay calm under pressure


  • Professional appearance and demeanor


  • Previous host or customer service experience is a plus
