Host/Hostess

We are looking for a hospitable and attentive Host/Hostess to join our fine dining restaurant team at our Hearsay Levy Park location. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a warm and welcoming demeanor, and the ability to provide exceptional customer service. As a Host/Hostess, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, ensuring a smooth and memorable dining experience from the moment they arrive.

Responsibilities:

- Greet guests upon arrival with a friendly and welcoming attitude, providing a positive first impression of the restaurant.

- Manage reservations and seating arrangements efficiently, accommodating guests' preferences and optimizing table turnover.

- Maintain knowledge of table availability, server sections, and special events to effectively organize seating.

- Escort guests to their tables and present menus, providing information on daily specials or promotions.

- Monitor the waiting list, anticipate guest needs, and manage guest flow to ensure a comfortable and enjoyable experience.

- Coordinate with servers, bartenders, and management to ensure smooth communication and efficient table turnover.

- Answer phone calls, handle inquiries, and assist with reservation inquiries or changes.

- Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the reception area.

Requirements:

- Proven experience as a Host/Hostess or in a customer service-oriented role, preferably in a fine dining or upscale restaurant environment.

- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with a polite and welcoming demeanor.

- Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting.

- Professional appearance and demeanor.

- Ability to remain calm under pressure and provide courteous service during busy periods.

- Familiarity with reservation management systems is a plus.

- Flexibility in working hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
