Host/Hostess

Join the team at Morimoto Napa where world-renowned cuisine meets the spirit of aloha. We are seeking a warm, polished, and hospitality-driven Host to be the first and lasting impression for our guests. This is a tipped position offering $16.90/hour and the opportunity to work in one of Maui’s most iconic culinary destinations.

Position Overview:

As a Host, you are the face of the restaurant—welcoming each guest with genuine hospitality, managing the flow of the dining room, and ensuring a seamless and elevated experience from arrival to departure.

Requirements:

• Prior experience in a restaurant or hospitality environment preferred.
• A friendly, motivated, and energetic personality with a team-first mindset.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to speak English fluently.
• Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.

Responsibilities:

• Greet and seat guests warmly and professionally while managing the reservation system.
• Assist management and service staff with guest needs using a proactive and positive approach.
• Communicate effectively with both front-of-house and back-of-house teams to enhance the overall guest experience.
• Demonstrate strong knowledge of the menu and restaurant operations.
• Maintain a neat, clean, and polished appearance in accordance with Morimoto brand standards.
• Occasionally assist in carrying plates or drinks, as needed.
• Uphold food safety and sanitation standards at all times.
