Mia’s Bakery is looking for a friendly, polished, and highly organized Hostess to manage guest flow and set the tone for excellent customer service. This is a fast-paced, front-facing role—you’ll be the first impression for every customer who walks through our doors.
We do not accept reservations, so managing the waitlist and seating flow is key. This isn’t a “stand and greet” role — it requires confidence, awareness, and strong communication with both customers and staff.
Responsibilities:
Greet every guest warmly and professionally
Manage waitlists and table turnover without a reservation system
Communicate estimated wait times accurately and calmly
Maintain clear communication with servers, runners, and supervisors
Handle high-traffic weekends and holiday crowds with grace
Keep entrance area clean and organized
Assist with packaging takeout orders and answering phones when needed
Requirements:
Must be composed, articulate, and confident in a busy environment
Excellent verbal communication and people skills
Able to work weekends, holidays, and early shifts as required
Professional appearance and demeanor
Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
