Role Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant with a specialized background in the Hospitality/Hotel industry. The successful candidate will manage the day-to-day financial operations, ensure compliance with Qatar’s financial regulations, and provide accurate reporting to support management in maximizing property profitability.

Key Responsibilities

• Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) specifically for hotel operations.
• Revenue Audit: Oversee the daily reconciliation of rooms, F&B outlets, and other revenue centers. Ensure POS systems align with the General Ledger.
• Cost Control: Monitor operational costs, manage accounts payable/receivable, and oversee payroll processing for hotel staff.
• Budgeting & Forecasting: Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and monthly forecasts, analyzing variances between actual and projected performance.
• Compliance: Ensure all financial transactions adhere to Qatar’s tax laws and IFRS standards. Coordinate with external auditors for year-end reviews.
• Asset Management: Maintain the fixed asset register and manage inventory controls for hotel supplies and F&B stock.

Candidate Requirements

• Experience: Minimum 4–5 years of progressive accounting experience.
• Industry Focus: experience within the Hotel/Hospitality sector.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in hotel management software (e.g., Opera, IDS Next, SUN Systems, or Microsoft Dynamics). Advanced Excel skills are essential.
• Location: Currently based in Qatar with a valid QID.
• Availability: Must be able to join immediately.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Professional certifications (CPA/ACCA/CMA) are a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: QAR3,000.00 - QAR8,000.00 per month
