Duties

  • Prepare and set up breakfast buffet stations, ensuring all food items are fresh, appealing, and properly stocked throughout service hours
  • Assist with food preparation, including slicing, plating, and garnishing dishes to meet quality standards
  • Maintain cleanliness of the breakfast area, including tables, counters, and equipment, adhering to food safety and sanitation guidelines
  • Busing tables and clearing used dishes promptly to keep the dining area tidy and inviting
  • Greet guests warmly, answer questions about menu items, and provide excellent customer service to enhance their breakfast experience
  • Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for any paid breakfast services or special orders
  • Support catering or banquet setups when needed, ensuring all arrangements are handled efficiently and professionally
  • Assist with delivery driver responsibilities if required, helping transport supplies or food items as needed
  • Follow all health and safety regulations related to food handling, dietary accommodations, and general cleanliness

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in food service, catering, or hospitality is highly desirable; kitchen experience is a plus
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage positively with guests and team members
  • Knowledge of food preparation techniques and food safety standards
  • Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is advantageous
  • Ability to stand for extended periods while maintaining a lively and energetic demeanor
  • Experience with cleaning routines, bussing tables, or host/hostess duties is beneficial
  • Basic knife skills, meat cutting knowledge, or culinary experience can be an asset
  • A friendly attitude with excellent phone etiquette and guest relations skills
  • Ability to work early mornings or flexible shifts as required in a hotel environment
