Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and motivated General Manager to oversee all operations at our 105-room Comfort Inn in West Valley City, UT. This role is responsible for leading the hotel team, ensuring excellent guest satisfaction, and driving revenue growth.
You will manage all departments—including front desk, housekeeping, maintenance, and sales—and report directly to the Director of Hotel Operations.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily hotel operations across all departments
- Hire, train, and develop team members to build a strong, successful staff
- Ensure exceptional guest service and maintain high customer satisfaction scores
- Lead the team to meet monthly and quarterly revenue goals
- Monitor performance, coach employees, and improve service standards
- Maintain brand standards and ensure compliance with company policies
- Control costs while maximizing revenue and profitability
- Prepare and submit operational and financial reports on time
- Assist with sales efforts and help secure new business when needed
- Be available for flexible scheduling, including weekends, holidays, and occasional after-hours needs
- Provide support to other company properties if required
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of hotel management experience (Marriott, Hilton, Choice, or IHG preferred)
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent communication and guest service skills
- Solid understanding of revenue management and hotel financials
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, 24/7 environment
- Self-motivated and able to work independently
- Proficient with computers and hotel systems
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate degree or higher
- Experience working in multiple hotel departments
