Step into the dynamic role of Hotel General Manager, where you will lead the overall operations of a vibrant hospitality establishment. Frontera Hotel Group is looking for a General Manager to join our new Towneplace Suites Hobby Airport. This position offers an exciting opportunity to shape guest experiences, oversee daily management, and drive the success of the hotel. Responsibilities
- Oversee all hotel operations, including front desk management, guest services, housekeeping, breakfast, and maintenance departments
- Lead and supervise staff across multiple departments, ensuring high levels of performance and guest satisfaction
- Develop and implement revenue management strategies to maximize occupancy rates and profitability
- Manage budgeting processes, control costs, and ensure financial targets are met or exceeded
- Foster strong guest relations by addressing concerns promptly and ensuring memorable experiences for all visitors
- Coordinate with human resources on hiring, training, performance evaluations, and staff development initiatives
- Oversee night audit procedures and ensure accurate financial reporting and record keeping
- Maintain compliance with hospitality standards, safety regulations, and hotel policies
- Utilize multi-line phone systems with professional phone etiquette to handle guest inquiries efficiently
- Promote a positive work environment that encourages teamwork, leadership growth, and continuous improvement
Qualifications
- Proven supervising experience within the hospitality or hotel management industry
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and foster a collaborative environment
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction and relations
- Experience in revenue management, budgeting, human resources, and hospitality management best practices
- Multilingual or bilingual abilities are highly desirable to enhance guest interactions in diverse markets
- 2 - 5 years of experience in a General Manager capacity
- Must have an understanding of Microsoft Office (Word / Excel)
- Fosse / GXP / Marriott Systems experience a plus
Pay: $63,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
