Hotel Housekeeping Supervisor

Responsibilities

Relieves in the absence of Housekeeping Manager. Assists in duties listed when the Housekeeping Manager is present. The Inspector is responsible for maintaining high levels of guest service and cleanliness in the hotel. He or she must have a working knowledge of all functions carried out in housekeeping operations, including but not limited to guestroom and public area cleanliness, laundry functions and grounds keeping. He or she monitors housekeeping services daily to ensure that each associate is delivering quality customer service. He or she assists the Housekeeping Manager in the scheduling of staff and maintenance of budgeted departmental revenues.

What are we looking for?

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • 1+ years previous experience in hotel housekeeping is required. Requires walking and standing to a significant degree.
  • Requires ability to perform housekeeping chores (cleaning units or assisting in the laundry) which involve lifting, bending, stretching, and reaching.
  • Requires ability to communicate both orally and in writing with guests and co-workers.

Requires knowledge of applicable standards and procedures.

  • Supervisory/Management skills: development of housekeeping staff.
  • Ability to perform training and to assist in professional development of the housekeeping staff.
  • Ability to maintain records and communicates effectively with members of other hotel departments.
  • Must have ability to handle/resolve guest complaints and/or knowledge/understanding of when and how to direct the guest to receive assistance.
  • Must have ability to professionally represent the hotel, deal positively with the public in person and over the telephone.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
