Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and skilled Hotel Maintenance Engineer to ensure the seamless operation and upkeep of our hotel facilities. This vital role involves maintaining a safe, comfortable, and efficient environment for guests and staff alike. Duties
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical wiring, and mechanical equipment to ensure optimal operation.
- Troubleshoot and repair issues related to hydraulics, HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning/Refrigeration), electrical systems, and plumbing fixtures using precision measuring instruments such as ammeters, ohmmeters, and schematics.
- Operate and maintain industrial equipment including scissor lifts, forklifts, and other field service tools safely and efficiently.
- Conduct welding tasks specific to <LOCATION> welding standards to repair structural components or equipment as needed.
- Utilize CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) to schedule maintenance tasks, document repairs, track inventory parts, and generate reports for management review.
- Interpret technical schematics and mechanical drawings to diagnose faults accurately.
- Coordinate with vendors or technical sales teams for specialized repairs or upgrades involving programmable logic controllers (PLCs) or high-voltage systems.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols related to high voltage, low voltage electrical work, and industrial mechanic practices.
- Assist in training team members on maintenance procedures and safety standards to foster a culture of continuous improvement.
- Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests to minimize downtime and guest disruption while maintaining excellent customer service standards.
Experience
- Proven experience in industrial maintenance within manufacturing facilities or similar environments is essential.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in HVAC/R systems, hydraulics, welding (including <LOCATION> welding), and electrical troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), schematics interpretation, and CMMS platforms is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated ability to operate precision measuring instruments such as ammeters, ohmmeters, along with analysis skills for diagnosing complex issues.
- Experience working with high voltage and low voltage electrical systems in an industrial setting is required.
- Background in industrial electrician work or industrial mechanic roles is preferred.
- Knowledge of safety regulations related to field service operations in manufacturing or hospitality environments is critical.
- Military experience involving technical maintenance or electrical work will be considered an asset.
