Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor/Cleaner to maintain the cleanliness and safety of our facilities. This role involves performing a variety of cleaning and custodial tasks to ensure a hygienic, organized, and welcoming environment for staff and visitors. The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial or residential cleaning, with a strong focus on quality and efficiency. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to a well-maintained facility while working in a dynamic team setting.

Responsibilities

• Perform general cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and trash removal across various areas of the facility
• Conduct floor care activities such as buffing, polishing, and maintaining different types of flooring surfaces
• Handle custodial tasks including restroom sanitation, window cleaning, and surface disinfecting
• Maintain cleaning supplies inventory and notify management when supplies need replenishing
• Assist with light maintenance tasks such as minor repairs or reporting larger issues to maintenance staff
• Ensure all cleaning procedures comply with health and safety standards
• Support special cleaning projects or deep-cleaning initiatives as needed
• Follow established protocols for industrial cleaning or facilities maintenance when required

Experience

• Prior janitorial or custodial experience preferred, especially in commercial or industrial settings
• Knowledge of floor care techniques including buffing and polishing
• Experience with residential painting or facilities maintenance is a plus
• Familiarity with cleaning equipment such as buffers, vacuums, and steam cleaners
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high standards of cleanliness
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills to ensure thorough cleaning across all assigned areas

Pay: $25.00 - $50.00 per hour
