Household & Errand Assistant

We’re looking for someone reliable and handy to help with household tasks and errands that make day-to-day life easier.

This role is based in Arlington and offers flexible hours (2-5 per week) with the potential for consistent weekly pay.

Ideal for someone independent, practical, organized, and comfortable jumping between different types of tasks.

Typical requests:

• Light cleaning, dishes, laundry
• Closet pick-up and organizing
• Disassembling boxes and taking out trash
• Small furniture assembly
• Basic household fixes
• Electronics setup (TVs, devices, etc.)
• Running local errands (returns, post office, picking up items)
• Grocery runs and supply pickups
• Dropping off packages or prescriptions
• Scheduling appointments or handling small admin tasks

Ideal candidate:

• Reliable and detail-oriented
• Comfortable with a mix of hands-on tasks and errands
• Handy with basic tools and simple home fixes
• Has a car and can run local errands
• Able to work independently, solve problems as they come up, and creative solutions that work well for everyone

Details:

• Flexible hours and schedule
• Most errands and tasks will be local to the Arlington area
• Must have a reliable car for errands and pickups
• Must be able to comfortably lift and move heavier household items when needed
• Some tasks may need to be completed within a few days’ notice
• The role will start as an hourly position ($25-$35), with the potential to transition into a recurring weekly flat rate
