Join the Pine County team as a Household Hazardous Waste Attendant and help protect our local environment through safe recycling and waste management. In this seasonal, part-time role, you will provide essential customer service at the Pine City Household Hazardous Waste site by assisting residents with offloading and sorting household materials. This position generally offers a two-day-a-week schedule, perfect for those seeking active, outdoor work that directly benefits the community.

Essential Functions

• Serve as attendant in Pine County’s Household Hazardous Waste Facility.
• Greet and direct customers and assist them in offloading household hazardous waste for recycling.
• Sort and manage household hazardous waste.
• Report transfer station activity to Pine County Solid Waste Department
• Performs daily site inspections.
• Fill in at Pine County recycling centers as needed

Physical Requirements:

This position will require the ability to stand, squat, reach, and lift up to 50 pounds

Minimum Qualifications:

• H.S. Diploma or the equivalent
• Valid driver’s license.
• High quality communication and customer service skills,
• Ability to use electronic tablet.

Position is part-time seasonal. Applicants will generally work two days per week. Shifts will generally be up to eight hours long. Days of operation include Saturdays and Wednesdays.
