Summary:

The Housekeeper position at Socorro General Hospital in Socorro, New Mexico, offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact every day. In this role, you help create a clean, safe, and welcoming environment that supports the well‑being of patients, visitors, and staff. Through routine environmental services tasks and consistent attention to established cleanliness standards, you contribute to a facility where people feel comfortable, cared for, and confident in the space around them. Responsibilities:

  • Maintains all areas according to departmental standards.

  • Ensures proper infection control procedures when processing linen, trash, medical waste and performing cleaning tasks.

  • Maintains and uses housekeeping equipment properly and safely.

  • Reports pertinent information to supervisor or appropriate authority.

  • Performs departmental record keeping.

  • Performs all duties necessary to ensure appropriate linen and supply levels.

  • Performs floor care.

Qualifications:

  • Less than high school.

  • Less than one year experience in housekeeping
