Job Title: Hotel Housekeeper
Department: Housekeeping
Reports To: Manager

Job Summary

A Hotel Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining cleanliness, sanitation, and overall appearance of guest rooms and public areas to ensure guests have a comfortable and pleasant stay. The role involves cleaning rooms, changing linens, replenishing supplies, and reporting maintenance issues.

Key Responsibilities

  • Clean and prepare guest rooms according to hotel standards.
  • Change bed linens, make beds, and replace towels.
  • Vacuum, sweep, mop floors, and dust furniture.
  • Clean bathrooms, mirrors, sinks, tubs, and toilets.
  • Replenish toiletries, towels, water, and room supplies.
  • Empty trash bins and dispose of waste properly.
  • Report damaged items, maintenance issues, or lost property.
  • Ensure rooms are properly stocked and organized.
  • Clean hallways, elevators, lobbies, and public areas when assigned.
  • Follow hotel hygiene, sanitation, and safety procedures.
  • Respond to guest requests professionally and promptly.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience preferred (not always required).
  • Attention to detail and cleanliness.
  • Good time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Physical stamina to stand, bend, lift, and move throughout shifts.
  • Good communication and customer service skills.

Working Conditions

  • Require working weekends, holidays, and shifts.
  • Physical work involving lifting, bending, walking, and standing for long periods.

Performance Goals

  • Maintain high room cleanliness standards.
  • Complete room assignments on time.
  • Ensure guest satisfaction through clean and comfortable accommodations.
  • Follow health and safety regulations consistently.

Pay: $10.00 - $12.00 per hour
