Housekeeper

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join our team in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our residents, staff, and visitors. The Housekeeper plays a vital role in infection control, resident comfort, and overall facility appearance.

Responsibilities

• Clean resident rooms, bathrooms, common areas, hallways, and offices according to facility standards.

• Perform daily cleaning tasks including dusting, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and disinfecting surfaces.

• Empty trash and replace liners in resident rooms and throughout the facility.

• Launder linens, towels, and personal items as needed (may vary by facility).

• Replenish supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet paper.

• Handle cleaning chemicals safely and according to manufacturer and facility guidelines.

• Follow infection control protocols and universal precautions to maintain a safe environment.

• Report any maintenance or safety issues to supervisor promptly.

• Provide courteous and respectful interaction with residents, families, and visitors.

• Support special cleaning projects as assigned.

Qualifications

• Previous housekeeping or janitorial experience preferred, especially in healthcare or long-term care settings.

• Knowledge of cleaning supplies, equipment, and proper sanitation methods.

• Physical ability to stand, bend, lift, and perform repetitive cleaning tasks.

• Commitment to resident rights, dignity, and confidentiality.
