Housekeeper / Room Attendant

Position Summary

The Housekeeper (Room Attendant) is responsible for cleaning and maintaining guest rooms and public areas to Hilton and Hampton brand standards, ensuring every guest enjoys a clean, comfortable, and welcoming stay. This role is central to our guest satisfaction scores and the overall reputation of the hotel.

Key Responsibilities

  • Clean and service assigned guest rooms, including making beds, changing linens, dusting, vacuuming, and sanitizing bathrooms.
  • Replenish room amenities, towels, and supplies according to brand standards.
  • Inspect rooms for maintenance issues (e.g., plumbing, lighting, appliances) and report them promptly.
  • Clean and maintain public areas such as hallways, lobby, elevators, fitness room, and breakfast area as assigned.
  • Restock and organize housekeeping carts and supply closets.
  • Handle guest requests courteously and promptly, escalating to a supervisor when needed.
  • Follow all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines, including proper handling of cleaning chemicals.
  • Report lost-and-found items per hotel policy.
  • Maintain confidentiality and respect guest privacy and security at all times.
  • Meet daily room-cleaning quotas while upholding quality standards.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Must be eligible to work in the United States. Eligibility will be confirmed with E-Verify.
  • Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience preferred but not required; we will train the right candidate.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to cleanliness.
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to maintain a consistent schedule.
  • Basic English communication skills sufficient to understand instructions and assist guests.
  • Availability to work weekends, holidays, and a flexible schedule as business needs require.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, push, pull, and reach for extended periods throughout the shift.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 25–50 lbs and push/pull housekeeping carts.
  • Comfortable working with cleaning chemicals and equipment.

Schedule

  • Typical shifts run during daytime hours; weekend and holiday availability required.
