Laundry (part-time) and Housekeeping Positions

Applications must be filled out at Landmark South Nursing Home and Rehabilitation Center at 18180 Jefferson Hwy, Baton Rouge, LA 70817 and interview the same day.

Background Check is required.

This position is on a rotating schedule and some weekends you will be required to work. Laundry hours are 5:00 am - 1:00 pm. Housekeeping hours are 6:00 am - 2:00 pm

Applicant must have own transportation.

Applicant must begin their shifts on time.

Physical Requirements for Laundry and Housekeeping Positions

• Frequent walking throughout the facility.
• Ability to bend, stoop, and lift and push laundry and/or cleaning carts.
• Ability to stand, stoop, kneel and crouch for extended periods of time.
• This position requires physical stamina.

Laundry Job Duties

• Collect, sort, wash, dry, fold, and distribute facility linens and residents’ personal clothing according to facility procedures.
• Ensure linens and clothing are handled in a sanitary manner to support infection control standards.
• Deliver clean linens to designated linen storage areas and resident units in a timely manner.
• Maintain organization of the laundry room, linen storage areas, and laundry equipment.
• Report damaged linens, clothing, or equipment issues to the supervisor.
• Maintain a courteous and respectful attitude when interacting with residents and staff.

Housekeeping Job Duties

• Clean wash basins, commodes, polish chrome fixtures in bathrooms, wash all mirrors, and spot clean walls.
• Clean windows and blinds.
• Clean beds thoroughly, including frames, side rails, head boards and footboards.
• Clean bedside tables in resident's room, dust all-shelves, remove all trash and debris.
• Clean environmental services cart and any equipment utilized daily.
• Mop, wax, buff, and/or vacuum hallways, living areas, and dining areas as assigned.
• Maintain a courteous and respectful attitude when interacting with residents and staff.

Pay: $12.00 - $15.00 per hour
