Job Description

Position: Housekeeping Attendant (Male)
Department: Housekeeping
Reports To: Housekeeping Supervisor / Executive in- Charge
Location: Sharjah Palace Hotel

Job Purpose

To maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and overall appearance of guest rooms and public areas in accordance with hotel standards, ensuring guest comfort and satisfaction.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Clean and service guest rooms, bathrooms, corridors, and assigned public areas
• Make beds, change linen, and replace towels as per standards
• Replenish guest room amenities and supplies
• Dust, sweep, mop, vacuum, and polish floors and furniture
• Report any maintenance issues, damages, or lost & found items immediately
• Follow proper procedures for handling cleaning chemicals and equipment
• Ensure high standards of hygiene and safety at all times
• Respond politely to guest requests and assist when required
• Follow hotel policies, procedures, and grooming standards
• Support team members and perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors

Health, Safety & Hygiene

• Follow all hygiene and sanitation guidelines
• Use personal protective equipment (PPE) when required
• Comply with health and safety regulations

Qualifications & Skills

• Basic knowledge of housekeeping procedures
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Good time management and attention to detail
• Physically fit to perform housekeeping duties
• Basic English communication skills preferred

Experience

• Previous hotel housekeeping experience is an advantage
• Freshers may be considered based on suitability

Working Conditions

• Shift duty, including weekends and public holidays
• Standing, bending, lifting, and walking for extended periods
