Housekeeping Supervisor

Job Title: Housekeeping Supervisor

Reports To: Housekeeping Manager

Job Summary:

The Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for supervising and coordinating the daily activities of room attendants and housekeeping staff to ensure cleanliness, hygiene, and maintenance standards are consistently met in guest rooms and public areas.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and assign daily tasks to housekeeping staff.
  • Inspect guest rooms, corridors, and public areas to ensure cleanliness standards are maintained.
  • Ensure proper use of cleaning equipment and chemicals in accordance with safety guidelines.
  • Train new employees and provide on-the-job guidance to team members.
  • Monitor room status updates and coordinate with Front Office for room availability.
  • Report maintenance issues and follow up to ensure timely resolution.
  • Maintain housekeeping inventory, linen control, and supply requisitions.
  • Prepare daily reports related to occupancy, room inspections, and staff performance.
  • Ensure compliance with hotel policies, health regulations, and safety standards.
  • Handle guest requests and complaints in a professional and timely manner.

Requirements & Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2–4 years of housekeeping experience in a hotel environment.
  • At least 1–2 years in a supervisory role preferred.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Good communication and organizational abilities.
  • Knowledge of cleaning procedures, chemicals, and equipment.
  • Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
