Housekeeping Supervisor

Job Summary

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of housekeeping staff to ensure all areas are cleaned to the highest standards.
• Train new team members on cleaning procedures, safety protocols, and customer service expectations.
• Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public spaces, and back-of-house areas to verify cleanliness and adherence to standards.
• Manage inventory levels of cleaning supplies, linens, and equipment, ensuring proper usage and timely replenishment.
• Develop work schedules that optimize staffing levels and meet operational demands while maintaining team morale.
• Address guest requests or complaints promptly and professionally, ensuring complete satisfaction.
• Enforce safety procedures related to cleaning chemicals, equipment operation, and workplace conduct.

Requirements

• Proven experience in hotel housekeeping or janitorial services with a focus on supervisory roles.
• Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques, floor care, industrial cleaning methods, and custodial best practices.
• Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team effectively.
• Familiarity with hospitality industry standards and hotel operations is highly preferred.
• Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
• Exceptional attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
