Housekeeping Team Leader

Job Summary

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Housekeeping Team Leader to oversee daily housekeeping operations and ensure high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and guest satisfaction. The ideal candidate will lead housekeeping attendants, coordinate room assignments, and ensure compliance with hotel standards and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and support housekeeping attendants in daily cleaning duties
  • Assign rooms and public areas to team members and monitor work progress
  • Ensure guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house areas meet cleanliness and quality standards
  • Conduct routine inspections and report maintenance issues promptly
  • Train new team members and coach existing staff on proper cleaning techniques and SOPs
  • Ensure proper use, handling, and storage of cleaning chemicals and equipment
  • Maintain linen, amenities, and housekeeping supplies inventory
  • Coordinate with Front Office for room status updates and priority requests
  • Ensure compliance with hotel policies, health & safety standards, and hygiene regulations
  • Address guest requests and complaints professionally and promptly

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Housekeeping Team Leader / Senior Housekeeping Attendant in a hotel or hospitality environment
  • Good knowledge of housekeeping procedures, cleaning standards, and chemicals
  • Strong leadership and team coordination skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet operational deadlines
  • Basic English communication skills (additional languages are an advantage)
  • Physically fit and able to perform housekeeping duties
  • Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays
