Housemen/Housekeeper

We are seeking reliable, hardworking, and detail-oriented individuals to join our housekeeping team as a Hotel Housekeeper / Houseman. In this role, you will help maintain the cleanliness, organization, and overall appearance of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces while providing exceptional service to our guests. This position plays a vital role in ensuring a clean, comfortable, and welcoming environment throughout the hotel.

Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesHousekeeping Responsibilities

  • Clean and tidy guest rooms, bathrooms, and hotel public areas according to established standards.
  • Make beds, replace linens and towels, dust furniture, vacuum carpets, and mop floors.
  • Sanitize high-touch surfaces including remote controls, light switches, door handles, and telephones.
  • Restock guest room amenities and housekeeping carts with necessary supplies.
  • Report maintenance issues, damaged items, or safety concerns to management.
  • Assist with laundry duties including washing, drying, folding, and organizing linens when needed.
  • Follow all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines.
  • Respect guest privacy and handle guest property with care.

Houseman Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of hallways, lobbies, public restrooms, stairwells, and other common areas.
  • Ensure hotel parking areas remain clean and free of trash and debris.
  • Support room attendants by delivering linens, towels, amenities, and cleaning supplies.
  • Strip guest rooms as directed and transport soiled linens to the laundry area.
  • Collect and dispose of trash throughout the property.
  • Respond promptly to guest requests for extra towels, pillows, blankets, and other amenities.
  • Vacuum carpets, mop floors, and clean spills to maintain safety and cleanliness.
  • Keep housekeeping closets, carts, and storage areas fully stocked and organized.
  • Complete special projects and additional duties assigned by the Housekeeping Supervisor, Executive Housekeeper, or Management.
  • Provide support to all team members and departments as needed.
  • Perform all duties in a safe and professional manner.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma preferred.
  • Previous housekeeping, cleaning, or houseperson experience preferred.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent time management and communication skills.
  • Team-oriented attitude with a commitment to exceptional guest service.
  • Flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and varying shifts.
  • Must be able to pass Background Check

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to push housekeeping carts weighing up to 75 pounds.
  • Frequent walking, standing, bending, stooping, squatting, twisting, reaching, and kneeling.
  • Ability to perform repetitive physical tasks throughout the shift.
  • Physical stamina and mobility required.
  • Ability to use radios and other communication devices.

Working Conditions

  • Most work is performed indoors in a climate-controlled environment.
  • Some outdoor work may be required.
  • Fast-paced hospitality environment requiring flexibility and teamwork.

Pay: $16.90 - $17.00 per hour
