Job Summary:
The Houseperson will be responsible for assisting the Housekeeping Team in keeping the hotel neat and clean during all shifts, maintaining clean public spaces including the exterior of the property, and removing trash. This is a position that requires a sunny disposition, a willingness to assist other associates, and patience.
Duties/Responsibilities:
· Maintain a high standard of cleanliness in all areas assigned.
· Delivers bags of clean linens to assigned units daily.
· Removes dirty linen from assigned units and transport it to the laundry room daily.
· Remove trash and debris from assigned units that are being cleaned.
· Remove firewood/ash from fireplaces during winter months.
· Sweeps porch & entry ways of debris for daily arrivals.
· Assists the laundry attendant as needed in cleaning and folding linens.
· Delivers amenities and other supplies to guestrooms as needed.
· Helps maintain stock all storages rooms with housekeeping supplies.
· Follows the job-training program for daily and project work.
· Common area restrooms inspected often to assure they remain neat and clean.
Required Skills/Abilities:
· Ability to function well in a high-paced environment and at times multi-task.
· Ability to keep calm, responsive and friendly under pressure.
· Ability to handle a variety of different tasks at once as well as challenges that may arise with guests, owners and/or co-workers.
· Customer service focused with a friendly approach.
Education and Experience:
· Prior hospitality experience preferred.
· High school or equivalent education preferred.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds at times.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 per hour
