1. Recruitment & Onboarding
- Manage end-to-end recruitment for operators, welders, press machine workers, supervisors, and staff.
- Coordinate with production heads to forecast manpower requirements.
- Conduct interviews, background checks, and issue appointment letters.
- Ensure proper induction and orientation of new employees.
2. Attendance, Payroll & Time Management
- Monitor daily attendance, overtime (OT), and shift schedules for all departments.
- Maintain biometric and manual attendance records.
- Coordinate payroll processing with accounts, ensuring accuracy of wages, overtime, and deductions.
- Handle contract labour attendance and billing verification.
3. Statutory Compliance
- Maintain compliance under Factories Act, ESI, PF, PT, Bonus, Gratuity, and Labour Laws.
- Coordinate with government departments during inspections or audits.
- Ensure contractor compliance with labour regulations and documentation.
4. Employee Relations & Welfare
- Implement HR policies and disciplinary procedures on shop floor.
- Conduct safety, welfare, and grievance redressal programs.
- Promote communication between management and workers through meetings and counselling.
- Manage canteen, transport, PPE distribution, and other welfare facilities.
5. Training & Development
- Identify skill gaps in production teams (e.g., welding, press operation, quality).
- Organize technical and behavioural training programs.
- Maintain skill matrix for operators and technicians.
6. Performance Management
- Support annual appraisal process and maintain evaluation records.
- Implement performance-linked incentives in coordination with management.
- Prepare MIS reports (manpower status, attrition, absenteeism, etc.).
7. HR Administration
- Maintain employee files, records, and HR documentation.
- Prepare HR dashboards, reports, and data for audits.
- Coordinate with accounts and admin for uniform, ID cards, etc.
Skills & Competencies
- Good understanding of manufacturing HR practices and factory compliance.
- Knowledge of MS Excel, HRMS/ERP software, and payroll tools.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Problem-solving attitude with ability to handle shop-floor discipline.
- Understanding of shift systems and manpower planning.
Experience
- Experience: 3–7 years (for Executive) / 8–12 years (for Manager) in HR within manufacturing, especially sheet metal or engineering industries.
- Preferred: Experience with labour contractors, factory audits, and shop-floor HR operations.
