HR Administrator

TABS, Inc., provides assistance and guidance to foreign companies when starting or expanding their business in the U.S. TABS currently has offices in New York, Humble, TX, and The Netherlands. Due to our recent growth, we are seeking a full-time HR administrator who will work under the direct supervision of the HR team leads to assist in external tasks for existing and prospective clients. A qualified candidate will have a proactive approach and great attention to detail. The candidate must also be able to work independently and follow written instructions. This HR Administrator will be working out of our Houston (Humble), TX office.

Who we are looking for:

The ideal candidate brings some variety of experience in the HR field while looking to gain more experience in a generalist role.

Responsibilities:

  • Assists with onboarding of new hires for our external clients (client-facing), including requesting onboarding paperwork and organizing documents received.
  • Updates and maintains Human Resources Information System (HRIS)
  • Assists with benefits administration, including enrollments, terminations, and renewals for our external clients.
  • Assist clients, either via email, video call or phone, and;
  • Assists with other day-to-day HR operations, where needed. Uses company resources and in collaboration with HR Manager to research and find answers to many HR consultancy questions asked by clients, such as leave policies, state termination laws, wage theft laws, etc.
  • Performs internal audits to ensure client's HR information is processed accurately, reducing (potential) errors.
  • Uses Standard Operating Procedures to accurately follow processes when performing tasks to completion
  • May create or update employee handbooks.
  • Collaborates with the payroll team on tasks related to onboarding, terminations, and other HR updates related to clients' employees.

Job Qualifications and Skill Sets:

  • Strong working knowledge of HR laws and rules.
  • Great communication skills as this person will be communicating with clients on a regular basis.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office with advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Knowledge of working with a CRM or project management system is
  • preferred.
  • Detail-oriented
  • Self-starter
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Bilingual in Spanish or Dutch is a plus, but not required

Hybrid:

The hybrid work schedule consists of working in the office 3 days a week and working from home 2 days a week. A company laptop will be provided.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $48,000.00 - $56,000.00 per year
