Role Purpose
The HR Advisor supports end-to-end HR operations with a primary focus on Recruitment and Onboarding, Employee Engagement, Employee Relations, and HR Compliance. The role ensures a smooth hiring and induction process, supports learning and development coordination, manages employee relations matters, maintains accurate HR system and payroll data, and contributes to DE&I and wellbeing initiatives, while providing broader operational HR support as required.
Key Accountabilities
- Recruitment and Onboarding
- Sourcing candidates and shortlisting them based on business requirements.
- Conduct Compliance checks for offered candidates.
- Support with IJPS, Assessments, and creation/update of Job Description, job offers, and job contracts.
- Reviewing the visa status of new recruits and working with the onboarding/admin team to ensure they join on a timely manner.
- Support the HR & Learning Team in inducting new colleagues in the business.
- Support the Learning team in printing training & on-boarding material.
- Assist with Emiritsation efforts to achieve hire retain as per the assigned target.
- Employee Engagement
- Maintain regular presence on-the-ground to support retail teams with HR & L&D matters.
- Support the HR Manager in driving engagement through Travelex Voice Survey and improve on colleague feedback via pulse meetings within UAE.
- Support the HR Manager in driving DE&I and Wellbeing initiatives in UAE.
- Employee Relations
- Handle daily employee grievances, inquiries, complaints, and escalate them to the HR Manager whenever required.
- Attend retention calls for departing colleagues.
- Make sure all WD inputs are correctly reflected on the system (leaves, time tracking, ST allowance, HDA, Joining Dates, Termination Dates etc )
- Attend 30,60,90,150 Performance meetings with new joiners and their team leaders and provide feedback/support wherever required.
- Draft letters (warnings, promotions, adhoc) and make sure they are properly stored on People DOC.
- Upload all HR adhoc docs on People doc and do random checks on the system to make sure that all employee documents are uploaded by the onboarding team.
- Tracking exit clearances for FNF processing, submitting FNF inputs to payroll, sharing the FNF with the employee, and coordinating payment release.
- Verify and approve employee verifications for external requests.
- Validate LSA, and assist HR Manager with the GEM entitlements, nominations, awards printing and vouchers purchase.
- Support the entire HR team with the Emiritsation Strategy and ongoing efforts.
- Compliance
- Update Employee Data on Central Bank portal and Workday.
- Manage support trainer's allowance.
- Support the Learning Manager in updating training records.
- Handle/Support the HR Manager in managing disciplinary and grievance issues and maintain tracker.
- Coordinate with the onboarding team on the monthly pension settlement and pension update whenever applicable.
- Assist the HR Manager in managing and overseeing the implementation and compliance of policies, procedures, and process improvement.
- Assist HR Manager in managing payroll process for UAE.
- Coordinate with relevant stakeholders to make sure all payroll inputs are shared correctly and on time with the payroll team (LTA, Incentives, OT, Allowances, etc )
- Provide timely support for internal and external audits as required.
Role-specific Experience And Skills
- Minimum of 5+ years of work experience in HR.
- Effective communicator (written, presentation, interpersonal).
- Excellent communication and people skills, with a strong emphasis on team working.
- Problem-solving, critical thinking, people-management, interpersonal, customer service, multi-tasking, prioritization, flexibility and working well under pressure skills.
- Track record of building strong stakeholder relationships, able to positively influence at all levels within the business.
- Previous experience using an HRMS is preferable.
- Able to travel to various locations across UAE.
