Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced HR and Payroll Officer to manage payroll operations and support overall HR functions. The ideal candidate should be based in Bahrain, able to join immediately, and have a strong understanding of Bahrain Labour Law to ensure payroll compliance and accurate employee administration.
Key Responsibilities
- Process and manage monthly payroll for all employees in compliance with Bahrain Labour Law.
- Maintain accurate employee records, HR files, and payroll documentation.
- Ensure compliance with work permits, visa regulations, and local labor regulations.
- Assist in recruitment activities, including posting jobs on Indeed, screening candidates, and coordinating interviews.
- Prepare and issue offer letters, employment contracts, and onboarding documents.
- Handle employee queries related to payroll, leave, benefits, and HR policies.
- Generate HR and payroll reports for management review.
- Support HR team in employee relations, attendance tracking, leave management, and performance appraisals.
- Assist in HR audits, compliance checks, and maintaining HRIS/ATS systems.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Human Resources, Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 2–4 years of experience in HR and payroll, preferably in Bahrain or GCC.
- Strong knowledge of Bahrain Labour Law, payroll regulations, and HR compliance.
- Experience with payroll software, HRIS, and online recruitment platforms including Indeed.
- Excellent organizational, numerical, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
- Immediate availability and residence in Bahrain.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with Bahrain social insurance (GPF/SSIF) and end-of-service calculations.
- Professional certifications in HR or Payroll (e.g., CIPD, SHRM) are a plus.
