HR Assistant

Position Summary:

The HR Assistant provides administrative support to the Human Resources department and plays a key role in ensuring smooth day-to-day HR operations. This position assists with recruitment, onboarding, employee support, and compliance-related tasks.

HR Assistant Job Duties:

RecruitmentOnboarding

• Post job openings on job boards and company websites.
• Schedule and interview candidates.
• Process new hire onboarding and conduct orientations.

Employee Support

• Respond to employee inquiries regarding HR policies, benefits, and procedures.
• Help coordinate employee events and engagement activities.
• Support internal communications and announcements.

Benefits Assistance

• Assist employees with benefits enrollment during onboarding and open enrollment periods.
• Process benefits changes due to life events (e.g., marriage, birth, loss of coverage).

ComplianceReporting

• Ensure compliance with labor laws and internal policies.
• Assist with audits and prepare required documentation.
• Help maintain confidentiality and data protection standards.

Administrative Support

• Process incoming employment verification requests from external agencies, lenders, government offices, and former employees.
• Verify employment status, job titles, dates of employment, and salary information in accordance with company policy and privacy regulations.
• Assist with filing, scanning, and organizing personnel files.

The starting wage for this position will be based on the candidate's experience and qualifications.
In addition, you will be eligible for our full-time benefits package following a 60-day probationary period. This includes: Medical, dental, and vision insurance, Paid vacation and holiday time, Short-term disability coverage, Life insurance, 401(k) retirement plan

Skills and Competencies

• Must have previous experience in Human Resources to include compliance training, recruiting, interviewing and hiring.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HRIS systems.
• Strong organizational and time management skills. Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Professional demeanor and customer service orientation. Strong work ethic with demonstrated flexibility to meet deadlines
• Familiarity with labor laws and HR procedures.
