HR Assistant

Position Summary

The HR Assistant plays a key role in supporting the Human Resources department with recruitment, onboarding, equipment distribution, benefits coordination, and compliance. This position ensures that staffing and onboarding processes run smoothly for Raleigh/Durham and Western NC area clients and works closely with other HR team members to maintain high standards of service and employee satisfaction. This is a team effort!

Key Responsibilities:

• Recruitment & Scheduling
• Review all incoming applications for Raleigh/Durham and western NC clients through applicant software.
• Contact qualified applicants to schedule interviews for open positions.
• Forward qualified candidate information to initiate the background screening process.
• Onboarding & Compliance
• Initiate background checks for prospective applicants.
• Send offer letters to new hires and provide all required onboarding packets.
• Register non-licensed applicants for required classes to meet compliance standards.
• Provide applicants with North Carolina Private Protective Services Board (PPSB) requirements when additional steps are necessary.
• Coordinate with the HR Director to ensure all new hire information and compliance requirements are met prior to the start date.
• Schedule and facilitate orientation with new hires, including site resource distribution and final onboarding steps.
• Equipment & Uniform Distribution
• Fulfill equipment and uniform requests for new hires to ensure they are prepared for their assignments.
• Benefits Administration
• Register eligible full-time employees for insurance, PTO, and anniversary benefits for all current clients.
• Employee Relations & Site Support
• Conduct bi-weekly site visits to maintain morale and provide necessary resources.
• Collaborate with the HR team to support employee relations and address concerns proactively.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field preferred).
• 1+ year of HR or administrative experience preferred.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Proficiency in HR platforms (Kwantek experience preferred).
• Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
• Team player with a proactive and resourceful approach.

Salaried starting at ~$45,000 per year with benefits
