Moore & Van Allen PLLC, a dynamic and fast-growing full-service law firm of more than 400 attorneys and professionals, is seeking a Human Resources Assistant to join its Charlotte, NC office. The Human Resources Assistant role plays a vital part in supporting HR processes, employee engagement initiatives, and organizational events, contributing to the effective functioning of the firm and the well-being of its professionals and employees.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Organize, and manage electronic filing of employee documents, ensuring accessibility and accuracy.
  • Support the firm's implementation of new HR processes, by helping and coordinating as required.
  • Responsible for administration of 90-day evaluations as needed for Business Operations Professionals.
  • Maintain and update logs, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Assist in coordinating and organizing firm-wide programs for staff, to promote employee engagement and morale.
  • Perform any additional duties or responsibilities as assigned by the Human Resources Generalist, contributing to the efficient operation of HR processes, and supporting the overall objectives of the firm.
  • Provide backup support to the HRIS Coordinator, assisting with HRIS functions and related tasks as required.
  • Regular in-person attendance required to fulfill the essential functions of the position and contribute effectively to team collaboration and coordination.

Qualifications & Experience:


  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associates or BA degree preferred.
  • At least 1-3 years’ experience in a professional setting required.

Physical Requirements:

  • The work is primarily sedentary.
  • It requires the ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision, and hearing.
  • The work requires the use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations.
  • The work at times requires bending, squatting, and reaching, with the ability to lift, carry, push, or pull light weights.
