Position Description

The HR Business Partner (HRBP) plays a pivotal role in driving the HR agenda and supporting business objectives through effective HR strategies and initiatives. This role serve as a trusted advisor to business leaders, providing expert guidance and support in all areas of human resources management.

Essential Functions

  • Collaborate closely with business leaders to understand their strategic objectives and provide HR solutions that support their goals.
  • Partner with managers to drive employee engagement, retention, and performance management initiatives.
  • Provide coaching and guidance to managers on employee relations issues, including performance improvement plans, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution.
  • Conduct regular talent reviews and workforce planning activities to ensure the organization has the right talent in place to meet current and future business needs.
  • Lead and support the implementation of HR programs and initiatives, including talent acquisition, onboarding, training and development, and compensation and benefits administration.
  • Analyze HR metrics and data to identify trends, insights, and areas for improvement, and make recommendations to drive positive change.
  • Stay current on HR trends, best practices, and employment laws to ensure compliance and inform decision-making.
  • Serve as a champion of diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives, fostering an inclusive workplace culture where all employees feel valued and respected.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

  • Strong knowledge of HR principles, practices, and employment laws.
  • Proven ability to build trusted relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • A strong grasp of the organization's industry, market, and business strategies to align HR initiatives with overall company goals.
  • Proficiency in handling complex employee relations issues, including conflict resolution and dispute mediation.
  • Sound judgment and the ability to make informed, ethical decisions in various HR situations.
  • Strong interpersonal abilities to build relationships, influence decision-makers, and foster collaboration.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to convey HR policies, changes, and information effectively to employees and management.
  • Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
  • Strong problem-solving skills to address complex HR issues and develop innovative solutions.
  • Ability to coach and mentor employees, identify their strengths and areas of improvement, and develop effective training and development plans.
  • Effective communicator, ability to understand and manage your emotions and the emotions of others, build relationships, and communicate effectively.
  • Ability to work effectively with people from diverse backgrounds and cultures and understand how cultural differences can impact organizational culture.
  • Strong proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Education & Experience Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or closely related field preferred.
  • 2+ years of progressive HR experience.
  • HR certification (e.g., PHR, SHRM-CP) preferred, but not required.

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment but is able to work remotely per the relevant company policies. This role routinely uses standard office equipment.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to sit; stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position, and hours of work are primarily first shift hours with occasional evening and weekend work that may be required as job duties demand.

Travel

Infrequent out-of-the-area and overnight travel may be required.
