Overview
WELCOME QATAR W.L.L.* is a Doha-based hospitality and services company offering event management, guest services, and hotel supplies to the hospitality and corporate sectors. We are looking for a _Strategic HR partner*_ to business leaders; drive people initiatives that align workforce capability, performance, and engagement with business objectives across the Qatar operation.
Key responsibilities
- Strategic partnership
- Advise leadership on people strategy, org design, workforce planning, and change initiatives; translate business priorities into HR plans.
- Talent acquisition & workforce planning
- Partner with hiring managers on role profiling, sourcing strategy, selection, and onboarding to secure critical talent.
- Performance & talent management
- Drive performance management cycles, talent calibration, succession planning, promotion processes, and development plans for key roles.
- Employee relations & engagement
- Coach managers on employee relations, disciplinary processes, investigations, grievance resolution, and retention initiatives; lead engagement surveys and action plans.
- Compensation & rewards
- Support compensation reviews, market benchmarking, job evaluations, and incentive program design in coordination with People/Comp teams.
- Learning & development
- Identify capability gaps, design or source development programs, and coordinate leadership and functional training.
- HR operations & compliance
- Ensure HR policy implementation, visa/work-permit coordination, payroll inputs, recordkeeping, and compliance with Qatar labour law.
- Change & project delivery
- Lead or support HR projects (restructures, policy rollouts, cultural programs, M&A integration) and measure impact.
- People analytics & reporting
- Provide workforce metrics and insights (turnover, retention, headcount, engagement) to inform decisions and track HR KPIs.
- Stakeholder management
- Build credible relationships with business leaders, HR centers of excellence, finance, and external providers.
Qualifications
- Experience: 5+ years HR generalist/partner experience; prior HRBP experience in Qatar/GCC or multinational environment preferred.
- Education: Bachelor’s in HR, Business, or related field; CIPD/SHRM/PHR or equivalent preferred.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of Qatar labour law, expatriate employment practices, compensation frameworks, and performance/talent management.
- Skills: Trusted advisor with strong influencing, coaching, stakeholder management, project management, and analytical skills.
- Tools: Proficient with HRIS/ATS, MS Excel/PowerPoint; experience with HR analytics preferred.
Success metrics
- Leadership satisfaction with HR partnership: high score on stakeholder surveys.
- Talent metrics: reduced time-to-fill for critical roles, improved retention of key talent, promotion rate within talent pools.
- Employee engagement: measurable improvement year-over-year.
- Compliance: zero significant labour-law/visa non-compliance issues.
Pay: QAR25.00 - QAR35.00 per hour
