Lift For Life Academy, the first charter school in St. Louis with 25 years of serving K-12 students is seeking a full-time Human Resources Coordinator. The HR Coordinator handles the onboarding of new hires, off-boarding, and day-to-day office needs. This position requires a large amount of data entry with attention to detail.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES & STANDARDS:

Ø Schedules Background checks for State, Federal, Clearinghouse queries, Social Services, and Driving Record checks

Ø Schedules pre-employment drug and alcohol tests for Bus Drivers

Ø Completes new hire onboarding and orientation

Ø Set up and train new hires in Kronos/UKG timekeeping and accrual system

Ø Data entry for new hires and terminations in Kronos/UKG HR and Software Unlimited Payroll databases

Ø Conduct exit interviews

Ø Assist with recruitment and job posting of educational and non-educational staff

Ø Update Excel tracking spreadsheets for Birthdays, Call Tree, and Phone Extensions

Ø Maintain Personnel Files, filing, making copies, and scanning all personnel files

Ø Annual Performance Review recording and scanning

Ø Track Bus Driver's DOT & CDL expiration dates and notifications

Ø Take Photos of new hires for announcements and website; create ID badges and assign security alert badges and keys

Ø Assist in verification of employment, unemployment, and Social Security requests

Ø Assist the HR Director and HR Manager as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

Ø Minimum two years in Human Resources and HRIS Database experience.

Ø Bachelor’s degree preferred

Ø Excellent computer skills including Microsoft (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Google E-Mail and applications, and Kronos/UKG Workforce Ready HR, Accrual, Timekeeping system

Ø Strong written and oral communication skills.

Ø Strong data entry skills with minimal errors.

Ø Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.

Ø Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

Ø Ability to remain neutral and calm under stressful situations.

Ø Must have a positive attitude and a problem solver.

Ø State and FBI fingerprint background clearance and Family Care Safety Registry clearance

This position will report to the HR Director and HR Manager. Work is performed in an open space in the Central District Office. The work hours are 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. 100% paid Medical, Dental, and Life insurance for the employee with optional coverage for yourself and dependents. Pension and 403b retirement plans, paid holidays, and vacation. Rate of pay to commensurate with experience.
