Maxwell Group/Senior Living Communities, based in Charlotte owns and manages luxury retirement communities along with other related senior living care entities in Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Indiana, North Carolina & South Carolina. Now accepting applications for a HR Coordinator responsible for performing a broad range of human resource functions, supporting both team members and the Company. This position will assist the Home Office HR Team in delivering quality customer service with Leave and Benefits Administration, Recruitment, HR Helpline, and Community Support. This position is located at the Home Office in Charlotte. Hybrid work schedule.

POSITION SUMMARY: The HR Coordinator position is responsible for performing a broad range of human resource functions, supporting both team members and the Company. Assisting the Home Office HR Team in delivering quality customer service with Leave and Benefits Administration, Recruitment, HR Helpline, and Community Support. This position offers a self-starter the opportunity to grow their skillset while sharing their passion to ensure our team members receive unreasonable HR service in all areas of their life cycle as an employee.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: The HR Coordinator responsibilities include the following:

  • Coordinate and administer the full life cycle of leave of absences FMLA, Non-FMLA, and Personal Leave
  • Assist in Recruiting and Job Postings
  • Oversight of Maxwell Group Personnel Files
  • Support Benefit Administration
  • Support Workers’ Compensation Administration
  • Assist with the day-to-day efficient operation of the HR Department
  • Assist with the tracking of departmental and company measurements that support the accomplishment of the company’s strategic goals
  • Prepares periodic reports for management, as necessary or requested
  • Periodically audits the database to ensure accuracy
  • Other duties as assigned

Physical Demands, Work Environment, and Expected Hours of Work: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

  • This position is often required to read, write, stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls, reach with hands and arms, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk and/or hear.
  • An individual in this position will be required to lift or carry weight up to 25 lbs.
  • May be exposed to minimal to moderate noise.
  • May be required to work extended periods of time at a computer terminal.
  • May encounter difficult situations, including contact with mentally ill and deceased residents.

TRAVEL: Local and out of state travel, including overnight stays, may be required from time to time to attend conferences, training, meetings, and professional development programs.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Proficiency in MS Office products required
  • Two years’ experience in a similar human resource position preferred
  • Recruiting, Payroll, and Benefits experience desired
  • ATS, UKG or comparable HRIS system experience a plus
