Mater Roofing Solutions, part of the TIMEPROOFUSA family, is currently seeking a Human Resources Coordinator to join our growing team.
As an HR Coordinator, you'll be a key driver of our HR operations, owning critical processes across the employee lifecycle. You'll partner closely with HR leadership, Payroll, IT, and Risk Management to deliver a compliant, efficient, and high-quality employee experience—from onboarding through offboarding.
What You'll Do
- Own end-to-end onboarding including paperwork, I-9s, HRIS entry, orientation, payroll setup, and IT access.
Create new hire announcements and support onboarding best practices and content. - Administer benefits enrollment and perform reconciliation across HRIS, payroll, and vendors.
- Resolve benefits discrepancies in partnership with Payroll, Accounting, and carriers.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for employee benefits questions.
- Administer and track LOAs including FMLA, CFRA, state leaves, and disability.
- Coordinate workers' compensation injury response, claims, and compliant documentation.
- Manage offboarding, exit processes, final pay coordination, and system access removal.
- Support HR communications, leadership presentations, and company-wide initiatives.
- Plan and execute employee engagement events, recognition programs, and town halls.

What It Takes to Succeed
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Psychology, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3–5+ years of progressive HR coordination or HR operations experience.
- Hands-on experience with onboarding, benefits, LOA, and workers' compensation.
- Strong knowledge of HR operations, confidentiality, and compliance standards.
- Working knowledge of California labor laws including wage and hour, FMLA/CFRA, workers' comp, and final pay requirements.
- Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
- Multi-state HR experience.
- Enterprise HRIS experience (Workday, ADP, UKG, or similar)
- Advanced Excel skills including VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, pivot tables, and data reconciliation.
