HR Coordinator

We at Norridge Gardens are leaders within the long-term care industry. We are searching for an exceptionally organized and engaging activity aide to create and oversee the rollout of our activities program.

We are seeking a motivated and organized HR Coordinator to join our team.

This role is critical to supporting our facility’s staffing, onboarding, and employee engagement efforts. You will play a key role in attracting talent, ensuring a smooth hiring process, and helping retain staff through strong communication and team-focused initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Source, screen, and interview candidates for open positions
  • Manage the full onboarding and hiring process, including offer coordination and new hire paperwork
  • Conduct and track background checks and employment verifications
  • Coordinate and lead new hire orientation
  • Set up employee access including PCC and OnShift logins
  • Partner with department heads to support hiring needs and staffing priorities
  • Assist the HR Manager with day-to-day HR functions and administrative tasks
  • Serve as a point of contact for new hires during onboarding and early employment

Retention & Culture:

  • Work closely with the Activity Director to support employee engagement initiatives
  • Help coordinate staff appreciation events, recognition programs, and retention efforts
  • Foster a positive and supportive workplace environment

Qualifications:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Solid computer skills and ability to learn internal systems (PCC, OnShift, etc.)
  • Experience in recruiting, HR, or healthcare setting preferred
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Self-starter who can work independently in a fast-paced environment
