JOB SUMMARY
The HR Coordinator is responsible for the operation of various HR functions under the direction of the HR Manager located in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. This position is responsible for recruitment, hiring and onboarding, employment processing, personnel records management and compliance with all state and federal laws relating to personnel. This position works with plant management in the support and promotion of the company’s culture and core values.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Act as the primary coordinator of new employee onboarding.
- Maintain personnel files in accordance with state and federal laws and HR management best practices.
- Assist management with employee performance management issues.
- Assist in various payroll functions, as assigned.
- Coordinate annual benefit reviews and insurance open enrollments.
- Maintain compliance with FMLA, IRCA, ADA, and any other Federal and State of Oklahoma and Massachusetts labor laws.
- Assist the corporate HR Manager with implementation of Employee Handbook changes and updates.
- Other duties as assigned by the HR Manager.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Two years of experience with direct HR functions including Oklahoma labor law compliance, maintenance of personnel records, insurance eligibility and renewals, and other functions that apply to the efficient operation of a human resources office.
- Proven organization skills, the ability to manage multiple priorities, and the ability to handle complex employee relations situations with tact and discretion with the support of home office leadership.
- Ability to work independently and make decisions in the best interests of the company with minimal supervision.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills and the ability to think logically.
- Intermediate skills and knowledge of MS Office Suite products.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bilingual in Spanish and English.
- A Degree in Human Resources or HR Certifications in lieu of degree with at least three years of experience with direct HR functions including OK labor law compliance, maintenance of personnel records, insurance eligibility and renewals, and other functions that apply to the efficient operation of a human resources office.
