Position Objective: The HR Data Analyst will support a federal agency by analyzing, managing, and reporting on human resources data to improve workforce planning, compliance, and operational efficiency. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and experience with federal HR systems and regulations.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Collect, validate, and analyze HR data from multiple sources, including personnel systems and applicant tracking systems (ATS).
  • Develop dashboards, reports, and metrics to support decision-making and compliance with federal regulations.
  • Monitor workforce trends, turnover, and staffing metrics to assist in strategic planning.
  • Ensure accuracy and integrity of HR data, including EEO and diversity reporting.
  • Collaborate with HR specialists to streamline data processes and improve reporting capabilities.
  • Support audits and respond to data calls from internal and external stakeholders.
  • Maintain historical employee data for multiple placements and assignments.
  • Assist in categorizing employees by skillsets for future recruitment and workforce planning.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Data Analytics, or related field.
  • 2–4 years of experience in HR analytics or data management (federal experience preferred).
  • Proficiency in HRIS, ATS, and data visualization tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI, Tableau).
  • Knowledge of federal HR policies, EEO compliance, and workforce reporting requirements.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Experience with federal HR systems (e.g., USA Staffing, NFC, EHRI).
  • Familiarity with OPM regulations and federal hiring processes.
  • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, macros).
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
