Position Title: Junior HR Executive
Location: Andheri East, Mumbai
Industry: FMCG – Spices (Legacy Family Business)
Company Size: 300+ Employees Across India
Reports to: HR Manager / Partners

Role Overview:

We are looking for a Junior HR Executive who will assist in managing various HR functions including payroll, recruitment, training coordination, employee engagement, internal communication. This position plays a key role in supporting a cohesive and transparent HR system while upholding the company’s legacy and values.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Payroll & Compensation Support

  • Assist in calculating salary components, deductions, and statutory contributions (PF, ESI, TDS)
  • Maintain attendance, leave, overtime, and incentive records
  • Support payroll disbursement in coordination with accounts

2. Recruitment & Talent Acquisition

  • Assist in posting job openings, screening CVs, scheduling interviews, and maintaining recruitment records
  • Coordinate with departments to understand staffing needs
  • Facilitate onboarding and joining formalities

3. Training & Development Coordination

  • Coordinate with external trainers and internal departments to plan training sessions
  • Track training schedules, participation, and feedback
  • Maintain records of skills development and certifications

4. Performance Appraisal Process

  • Help gather feedback, KPI records, and relevant documentation
  • Assist during appraisal discussions and manage follow-ups
  • Maintain transparent and organized appraisal data

5. Employee Engagement & Team Building

  • Support planning of employee engagement initiatives, welfare programs, and celebrations
  • Be approachable for grievances, feedback, and morale-related issues
  • Foster a positive work environment and encourage team participation

6. Union & Worker Staff Coordination

  • Serve as an active liaison between union representatives, worker staff, and management
  • Document concerns raised by workers and escalate appropriately
  • Help maintain peaceful industrial relations and support dispute resolution processes
  • Be present on the shop floor when required to build rapport with the worker base

7. Internal Communication

  • Relay policy changes, announcements, and notices clearly and respectfully across departments
  • Draft internal communication material as needed
  • Be a communication bridge between partners, senior management, and employees

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree (BCom, BA, BBA); preference for HR / Psychology / Commerce background
  • 4-5 years of HR experience (internships/trainee roles also considered)
  • Basic understanding of compensation structure, labor laws, PF/ESI, etc.
  • Fluent in Hindi and English (spoken and written); local language preferred
  • Proficient in MS Excel, Word, and email handling

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹55,000.00 - ₹65,000.00 per month
