Key Responsibilities:
- Handle recruitment for logistics and freight forwarding roles, including operations, documentation, and customer service positions
- Conduct interviews, background checks, and manage end-to-end onboarding processes
- Maintain and update employee records, attendance, and leave management systems
- Coordinate with the finance team for payroll processing and statutory compliance (PF, ESIC, professional tax, etc.)
- Ensure compliance with applicable labor laws and internal HR policies
- Address employee grievances and support disciplinary procedures as required
- Support employee engagement initiatives and inter-departmental communication
- Collaborate with department heads to assess staffing needs and develop hiring plans
- Assist in performance appraisal processes and goal-setting frameworks
- Organize skill development or compliance-related training sessions for staff
- Maintain HR documentation and prepare reports for audits or internal reviews
- Liaise with recruitment consultants or vendors as needed
Requirements:
- Graduate or postgraduate in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (MBA preferred)
- 2–4 years of HR experience, preferably in a logistics, freight forwarding, or transportation company
- Good understanding of HR practices and regulatory requirements in the logistics sector
- Proficiency in HR management systems or software (e.g., Zoho People, GreytHR, etc.)
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage HR functions across multiple teams or branch locations
