Job Summary:
The HR Generalist will play a vital role in managing and supporting the human resources functions for Good Guard Security, overseeing a workforce of approximately 125 security guards. This role will encompass a wide range of HR responsibilities, including recruitment, employee relations, compliance, training, and performance management. The HR Generalist will also directly supervise a Recruiter and a Site Manager.
Responsibilities:
- Recruitment and Onboarding:
- Manage the full-cycle recruitment process, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and onboarding security personnel (360 recruiting).
- Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies to attract qualified candidates.
- Oversee the work of a Recruiter to ensure efficient and effective hiring.
- Employee Relations and Performance Management:
- Address employee inquiries and resolve workplace issues promptly and professionally.
- Conduct investigations and administer disciplinary actions, including write-ups and corrective action plans.
- Manage employee performance reviews and provide feedback to supervisors and employees.
- Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and HR documentation.
- Manage and stay up to date on all required training and certifications for all security guards.
- Training and Development:
- Develop and deliver training programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge.
- Identify training needs and implement appropriate training initiatives.
- Maintain training records.
- Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Directly supervise and manage the performance of a Recruiter and a Site Manager.
- Provide guidance, support, and mentorship to team members.
- Delegate tasks as needed.
- Other Duties:
- Assist with HR projects and initiatives as needed.
- Maintain a positive and supportive work environment.
- Maintain accurate records of employee attendance, and time off.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as an HR Generalist or in a similar HR role.
- Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience managing and training remote employees.
- Experience in the security industry is a plus.

Pay: $25.00 - $37.00 per hour
