HR Generalist

Purpose

Non-Ferrous Cast Alloys is seeking an HR Coordinator to join our HR Team. The ideal candidate is an excellent communicator who possesses strong administrative, problem-solving, organizational, and time management skills. Day-to-day responsibilities will include recruiting, onboarding, payroll and benefit administration, safety compliance implementation and training per OSHA standards, employee safety and supporting company HR initiatives. This is a full-time salaried exempt position located at our Foundry in Norton Shores, MI.

Responsibilities

+ Assists in talent acquisition efforts, including recruitment, interviewing, hiring, and new employee on-boarding

+ Administers benefits, managing employee enrollments and billing reconciliation

+ Manages tasks required to process payroll accurately

+ Communicates and enforces employment policies

+ Supports execution of training and development programs

+ Handles HR related inquiries and sensitive matters, including disciplinary matters, disputes and investigations, referring as needed to the Senior HR Generalist

+ Administers compliance with health and safety regulations, including training and inspections, reporting, identifying and responding to hazardous conditions in the workplace

+ Responding to safety incidents, including Workers’ Compensation administration

+ Maintains up-to-date knowledge of federal and state employment law and compliance requirements, working with the HR Team to ensure policies and practices maintain in compliance

+ Assists with employee engagement initiatives

+ Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements

+ Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

+ At least 1 year of HR related experience
